Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Then she appeared on numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her career began as an actor in the year 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. The credits on stage comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. In her film career she is most famous for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
